No, this is a corded electric blower/vacuum. Corded models are considerably more powerful than battery-powered models and the battery-powered models are blowers only-no vacuums. Your blower/vacuum options are gas or corded electric. by Bob, Product Expert
Q: Would you recommend this weight leaf blower which will be used exclusively by a women (over 70 ys of age). I'm very fit and work out on Pilates machine and take Aquatic Water classes 3x per week.
Still I have been using a leaf blower that was maybe half this weight but would like the mulching feature included with this model if I can handle the weight.

My Story
The blower works good, not enough power when picking up leaves or debris. Also leaks dust out of bag. I checked connections and zipper all tight. Not sure what that problem is. Price was right though.

Mulcher/blower Raves
Tried out our new yard "toy" on New Years Eve afternoon... a sunny and warm 72 degree afternoon in Florida and could not be happier or more impressed with the capabilities of the blower/mulcher and the ease of operation!!
