Toro Leaf Blower - Bad Machine, No Customer Service
Bought a Toro electric blower 51602 at a Home Depot 6 months ago. It quit while using it. Power got weak then it died. Felt like a switch component failed or maybe the motor. Supposed to have a 2 year warrantee. HD would charge for repair because their store warranty is only 90 days. Consultation with 4-star Ace Hardware gave the information that the Toro warranty is replacement, not repair, and takes 3-6 weeks. The Toro website does not have a customer service phone number listed. I... more

Excellent Product
I had a Toro Super Electric Leave blower/vac for years and it finally stopped. I bought another and it has been going strong for 5 years. I LOOKED at battery run leaf blowers (the cord IS a nuisance) but none of them have the 235 mph blowing power like mine. I think I'll just be happy and stick with the electric cord. I'm nearing 70 years old and find the weight of this is very, very good. Sorry for those other two bad reviews.

By the way, I live in an area in Virginia called Forest Park.... more

Do Not Buy...if You Do Keep Your Receipt...and They Will Replace
I purchased for the power to blow leaves off my roof. I used it four or five times in about a year. The last time I used it the blower got slower and slower then just quit. I could not find my receipt but was told that if I had my receipt they would replace it. I read here that someone else had the same problem so I really don't care for another one!!
Pros: Easy To Use, Price, Fast, Easy To Store
Cons: Low Quality, Heavy, Unreliable, I Used Four Or Five Times Before Slowly Died

I have this exact model, 3 years and counting, will not look back at the mistakes I have made trying to save a buck. This blower is used every weekend and has not let me down once. Don't know what happened to Bob from N.C. but it works great. Bag attachment for sucking up leaves is great. Buy this product you won't regret it and no I don't work for Toro. Just read a negative review and it's sad someone slams a good product unnecessarily. I think he probably tried to mulch a branch with this... more

Good But Designed To Wear Out
I like this blower generally - it's powerful, and not too noisy, definitely better than the Black and Decker u nits I've previously tried. It is designed to wear out, however. When the carbon brushes wear down, they cease to make contact with the commutator - you might notice some erratic running just prior to that.

Instead of being replaceable, however, the brushes are fixed to the motor wiring. I extended the life of my blower by adding spacers between the brushes and the springs that... more
